Try addeing as smatool -v -d  - it will show more information about the PVouput process

I have been able to fix my problem. I modified the smatool.c by commenting out five getchar() calls and recompiling. These were on lines 232, 410, 2212, 2292, 2417. I have attached my smatool.c
