Dear SM-Energy list,
Arising from the Sustainable Maleny initiatives, informal meetings have begun (bi-monthly), for local renewable power professionals, those with qualifications in renewable power, and electrical engineers.This is a 'moderately-advanced' level research and development network focused on;
-energy conservation
- household renewable power
- renewable power in/on public buildings
- local power plants,
- cooperative/community ownership
- development of the above in the Maleny/Hinterland area
Next meeting of this group/network Sun 20th Sept 2-3.30/4pm. If you 'fit' with this technical focus group please phone on 5429-6678, or email me for venue details.
REM - Renewable Energy Maleny is not a stand-alone group/network. Ideas and information from people with less technical knowledge can be just the thing.
Of course people with business, and communication skills etc are needed as well... however to go very far and do some new things for Maleny, will take various people coming forward with their input, and/or to facilitate the various areas....perhaps that could be some of you?!
I have read the past posts on SM-Energy and have been impressed with the quality of what has been circulated here. I will ask at the coming meeting if the minutes can be posted on SM-Energy, so that there can be feedback and flow between the two.
