I think the idea of listing the names of all groups that help
initially is a great idea, and having name credit kills 2 birds with
one stone:
1) incentive for group owner to post to their group
2) makes the project seem as big as SL... getting all the groups
together... it's really great! :-D

So, if that doesn't sound too crazy, here is the notecard I'd send off
(feel free to add more groups to the initial parenthetical statement)

The Vagina Monologues are coming to Second Life!

For almost ten years V-Day has been working to stop violence against
women and girls all over the world. V-Day's model of 'empowerment
philanthropy' has been a catalyst for activists, college students,
anti-violence organizations and vagina warriors to transform their own
communities in more than 112 countries worldwide.

The VDay group, under the leadership of ToryLynn Writer (and with
assistance from members of SLiterary, Inksters, Act Up, Written Word,
FFRC, Blue Angels, P.S., Writers of SL, Playwrights, Poetry Guild,
VLS, Lauren Live, Shakespeare's Sisters and your group, too!) is
producing Eve Ensler's "The Vagina Monologues" in Second Life.
Created as a strong voice against female victimization and abuse, this
Obie Award winning play has received world wide acclaim. It brings
together women and girls (and the men who love them) to talk about the
most sensitive parts of female anatomy in thoughtful and funny
monologues and discussions.

Performances Feb 23 at 2:30PM and 7:00PM, Admission L$100, location TBA

just got this...please whoever is handling make a note. We do need a
tshirt. Also who has the texture? Please send to her...Tory guess you
need to get to her with donation box ...she is on EST time zone.

Hi!

Two things. I've gotten several requests for a vendor with the VDay
info notecards, and maybe some bit of swag like a t-shirt. Does one
exist? There are several club owners that would love to put one out.
It's a big deal in our world.

Second do you know Jay Ackroyd? He is in world as Jimbo Hoyer and does
a public affairs show Virtually Speaking. I do avatars for some of his
guests and work with him. VDay would be a natural for Virtually
speaking and Jay I'm sure would love to have VDay people in SL on as
guests. No pressure, just another chance for free media....

Lillian Yifu

Lillie Yifu: If you want to drop by Yedo you we can set it up for
you to leave a donation box here.

Also she needs a texture

Ada....I think you are the one who gave this out

About promo package. Everything in there must be no modify. Also it
needs the VDAY texture (also no modify). We can't have people changing
what is written just because they feel like it. And we can't have
people changing the color of the texture
Don't you agree....and where is the texture.

Also we need to get a texture from each donor (mark received) store
(give copy to Rekka) for the posters....

I want to say that having the texture as no-modify would not prevent
someone who really wanted to change it from changing it. They can
simply screenshot it, especially if they have the texture file. Other
than that, I'm not sure what's going on here... but, well, just keep
that in mind!

Thanks Lauren - what I sent you was a draft for your approval - I'll make the changes when I'm done dealing with emails here and can go in-game.

regarding the Texture ....of course it can be copied but at least we sent it out no modify and therefore tried our best on our side to keep control.

I would suggest avoid sending the texture completely. Just paste it on
a prim, so that if people try to copy it, at least it would be (more)
difficult to copy. What would the texture be used for?

I agree Ina - I'll get ingame as soon as I'm done with emails and work on the promo package.  I appreciate your builder skills here re the frustrating SL perms that make all of us nuts - I may IM you later for advice.  :)

and again, if I don't reply at first... try, try, again! i probably
crashed or my IM's probably got capped -- and I generally don't check
offline IM's until later (since most of them are knotty customer
support issues or just fetishes from these crazy rich patrons who want
some really gross modifications to their photorealistic skins o.O)
