[slurm-dev] Batch job submission failed: Invalid account or account/partition combination specified

Hi,

This problem occurs with 14.11.8.

A user I set up today got the following error when submitting a
job:

Batch job submission failed: Invalid account or account/partition combination specified

Using

sacctmgr show user <user> withassoc

I can't see any difference between the user with the problem and
another user associated with the same account who can submit.

In the slurmcltd log I have

[2015-09-07T17:02:00.790] _job_create: invalid account or partition for user 123456, account '(null)', and partition 'main'
[2015-09-07T17:02:00.790] _slurm_rpc_submit_batch_job: Invalid account or account/partition combination specified

Access to the partition 'main' is allowed to all.

Restarting slurmctld fixed the problem.

Is this a known issue?

We have seen similar issues on 14.11.8 but haven't bothered to diagnose
or report it. I think I've seen it twice so far out of dozens of new users.
