kon'nichiwa habitat!
 
here's what we discussed this week:
- we watched a 60 minutes special about homeless students
- our member of the week is Sammi Thompson, she is a wonderful, super involved member - GREAT JOB SAMMI :D
- we reviewed some basics of habitat: It is an individual non-profit organization.  Habitat will only accept government funds so long as they can still demonstrate the teachings of Jesus Christ.  There are guidelines for Habitat to avoid becoming dependent and the local affiliates are also independent non-profits.
- we went into our committees!

february 23rd: trivia night, cafe ventana 7pm
february 25th: build (full)
february 27th: general meeting, tegeler 8pm
march 5th: general meeting, tegeler 8pm
march 8th: pause for paws, 10am-3pm in the quad
march 10th-march 18th: SPRING BREAK WOOT WOOT

here is a calendar of what is coming up in the builds world!!
2/25 - build (this is full!)
3/10 - 3/18 - SpRiNg BrEaK '12 bAbYyY
3/31 - showers of service at the restore (email dben...@slu.edu if interested)
4/21 - build... sign-ups AFTER easter break
TRIVIA--
this THURSDAY THE 8TH, come to cafe ventana at 7pm for some freaking awesome triviaaaaa. $5/person or $20/team (of 4-6 people). be there or be square!!

we still have a couple spots open for volunteers!  click here to sign up for this super fun volunteer activity.  this will be march 8th on the quad from 10am-3pm :) yayyy for puppies!
