depends... technically it shouldn't result in drift on the server, but
I think perhaps positions are stored with a different precision than
what we get in LSL so it's all up to the conversion. Theoretically it
should stabilize after the first get/set. Comparing it with the viewer
reported position may make it wobbly though, and if you cast the type
it introduces more conversion problems. different cast methods can
result in different precisions for vector data (there's a jira on that
somewhere)
