Dear Honorary Members, Well Wishers and Members of SLSAJ,

Extension of Deadline for the Submission of Articles for Tharanga 2012 of SLSAJ

We really appreciate the valuable contribution you have made so far for the 2012 issue of “Tharanga” and are thankful to all who have submitted articles on time. We very well understand that it is a demanding task to devote time for this type of activity with your busy schedules. Therefore, we have decided to extend the dead line for article submissions up to 17th February 2012 in order to encourage you and to give you more time to come out with interesting and creative ideas. Please utilize this opportunity and submit your articles for publication in the 2012 issue of Tharanga which would be available and distributed at Sinhala-Tamil New Year Festival, April 2012. There is no age limit for submissions and we are open to articles from all age groups.

Tharanga is a compilation of a wide variety of literary woks including articles and essays on various topics, art works, poems, paintings, critiques, interviews, information and research findings. Therefore, this serves as an opportunity to poets, creative writers, artists, and thinkers among us to bring together their creative and innovative ideas, thoughts and imaginations and to share those with others. Articles should not essentially be restricted to the above categories and you can even share any photographs, new food recipes, etc. that you think would be worth sharing.

We are looking forward to receive your valuable contributions to Tharanga-2012 in order to compile an interesting and successful issue as in the previous years. We encourage you to follow the submission guidelines stated below which would be helpful for you to submit a good piece of work. Since we are in the process of page setting, it is highly appreciated if you could submit your articles before 17th February 2012 to both of the following e-mail addresses. If you need posting your items, especially, paintings, etc., please use the postal address stated under the submission guidelines number 9. When you submit by post please notify by email too.

Your kind cooperation with prompt response would be much appreciated. Please feel free to contact us if you have any problem regarding submission.

Thanking you,

Prabhath Weerawardhana  Email: 2012th...@gmail.com  (090-3906-9620)
