[SLSAJ Secretary]

Dear Academicians,Honorary Members, Professionals,Well Wishers and Members of SLSAJ,

It is with great pleasure, I, on behalf of the SLSAJ 2010/2011 committee, would like to express my sincere gratitude for your valuable contribution for the SLSAJ Annual Research Journal & kind participation at the Annual General Meeting held on November 26^th 2011.

I would like to brief you about the important events that took place during the day for the benefit of those who could not join with us & to recall our memories.

• Address by H.E. the Ambassador-  On behalf of H.E Ambassador Admiral(Rtd.) Wasantha Karannagoda, Ms Ruwanthi Delpitiya, Counselor to the Ambassador, delivered his speech which was about the importance of the Sri Lankan Students' Association in Japan and it's value creation to the community.
• Welcoming new members- SLSAJ welcomed new comers to the SLSAJ community after a short self introduction session.
• Keynote speeches- We had the opportunity to have two impressive keynote speeches delivered by Prof.N.S Cooray & Dr.Tushara Chamnida which provided a platform to share the knowledge of the expertise with all the SLSAJ members.
• Launching of the first SLSAJ Research Journal with ISSN number- The Research Journal was launched for the first time with ISSN number and was published on the website in order to facilitate knowledge sharing with others.
• Session with job recruitment facilitating companies-First, the current trend & the job recruitment procedure in Japan was presented by these companies and later we had the opportunity to have a successful Q&A session in which members clarified their concerns over job recruitment & internship. This was also a good chance for the SLSAJ to strengthen the relationship with Japanese job recruitment facilitating companies.
• Annual General Meeting- First, activities conducted throughout the previous year were presented especially to give a brief understanding for the new comers about SLSAJ.Then budget for the year 2010/2011 was presented & was confirmed as a true report. Finally, the new Executive Committee & committee members were appointed.
• SLSAJ Mega show- An opportunity was given for the SLSAJ members to show their talents in front of a judge board & the audience. Everyone enjoyed after seeing the hidden talents of our members.
• SLSAJ Peduru Party & DJ- Selected songs were sung with live music followed by a DJ to entertain the members.Everyone enjoyed a lot by singing & dancing, forgetting their heavy academic workload for at least a short while.

All these activities in one day would have been a miracle without the great team spirit of the SLSAJ community. Everyone showed what we could do as a team and helped each other in a great scale. Therefore, on behalf of the SLSAJ 2010/2011 committee, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all who contributed for making this event a success.Special thanks goes to,
