Research Forum and AGM

Dear friends,

As you all know, we have come closer to the end of another SLSAJ year (2011-12) and yet another activity is there to be completed. 

Although, we have planned to hold the Research forum on Sep 29th, due to several unavoidable circumstances, we happened to postpone it.

Now, it has been rescheduled to have it on the 11th November along with the Annual General Meeting of SLSAJ. 

Further, as there are many presentations for the research forum, we will be having the AGM in the evening.

So, I'm writing this to get your comments on this so that, possible alterations can be applied. 

Please do reply on or before the 10th October.

Dear All, 

Considering the availability of ambassadors availability and other things the date seams OK for me. 

Prof. Abayakoon (Former VC,Peradeniya) also confirmed his possibility to participate for the event. I will discuss with the Academics association and Professionals Association about the date ASAP.

let's confirm the location (TIT) this week and the tentative schedule for the activity. 

At the moment I would like to request at least 3-4 hours for the research session works (morning + some in afternoon). 

And what do you think about the Paduruprty or DJ at the end? (by the way 11th is a Sunday so people me prefer to go early?).  

these things may me useful when we reserve the location.

Please share your opinion.

Dear Amila and all,

We all know that, we have earlier decided to have the Research Forum separately. But, due to various issues encountered we happened to postpone it and holding the AGM on the same day is possible and suitable. 

But as I feel, it is not suitable to have an entertaining event on the same day. Apart from the reason that Amila came up with I feel that the entertaining event is not in line with earlier activities.

So, we can have such an activity (may be the 1st week of December) along with the handing over committee meeting.
