A meeting is scheduled this Sunday morning at the venue below to officially handover street list, fence gate keys, collections, car stickers, house tags etc to the new street reps. Would very much appreciate attendance from the previous & new street reps. Tq.

This morning, I realized that my front left windscreen cracked. The cracked started from the centre of the glass towards the side. It may have happen between 11pm 25/1/10 to 9.30am 26/1/10 and fyi i park my car in the open space opposite eddie's house (next to the end lot)

I was trying to analyze the situation but there are many possibilities to it. Either someone wants to break in to my car but unsuccessful or someone is assaulting me on purpose but i don't remember making any enemies....... I'm not trying to initiate any investigation but merely to share this incident in case anyone had faced or may face similar situation that may uncover this mystery. Just to give some heads up.

Hi Noel,

Thanks for the heads up.

If it's the passenger window, and starts at the center, there's a good chance someone was trying to break in. Did you have any bags or valuables visible in the car? My friend's old saga was recently broken into and they only took his radio, and it wasn't even an expensive one. There are a lot of desperate ppl who would do these desparate things.

The place you're parked at is quite dark isn't it? The gate is only a deterrent, but it will not deter everyone.

Could you pls enlighten whether any valuable items in yr car? Do u knw whether anyone else who parked at the open space also had an attempted break-in or break-in for tht matter to their car? Chances are if someone was unsuccessful in breaking in yours they could have tried with others.

 

Anyway Noel, I have informed our security mgr, en mulop on the matter and both of us would like to come to see your car tonight. Could you pls text whether you will be around.

Good morning. Did you on your alram? And also, it could have happened some where else & you drove home at night without realising the problem.

I do agree with Zailan that there are indeed alot of desparate people around & they will do the worst thing just for afew dollars.

 

Dear Everybody,

We still have people who are NOT contributing to the monthlty security & still others who have NOT paid for fencing. Dont these people realise how important security measure is??????? & its has been too long that they are riding on the bandwagon. If you know of those who are yet to contribute, please talk to them. This is an attitude problem. Very selfish!!!  How can people consciously enjoy benifits at the expense of others??????

The committee always make known to the resident whatever projet that is coming up. The problem is, we never get any feedback, suggestion, let alone assistance but after the project is completed, we get complaints.

Come on guys, ours is a very small community, let us be friendly & supportive.

many ppl parks at the open space : myself, eddie's daughter in law's car, Mr lian and his neighbors  including the end lot tenant. I park there very often but this is the first time. 

I do not have anything valuable on display unless the person could see my smart tag which is kept in an open drawer but not obvious. I agree with Felicia that it may have been crack somewhere else but I remembered speeding home the night before and the window is perfectly fine. It was the next morning, after I put my bag in the right rear seat and closed the door that I heard the glass crack entirely. So there is still a high possibility that someone was trying to break in to my car. Nonetheless, it only happen to one car and on one night. Thus it's hard to conclude. Anyways, Rizvi has taken the initiative to meet up with me tonight at 9pm together with Mr Mulop and I'm glad that everyone shares my concern. Thanks a bunch everyone.

p/s : according to my father's prediction, perhaps someone tried to break in but the task was uncompleted due to unforeseen circumstances....e.g. someone was walking or passing by that frighten the thief away and oh! i forgot to mention that my alarm was not triggered.
