Dear all

actually I think there are too many stray cats which poop all over the
place thereby attracting flies. Whenever we cook we have to close the
back window or else flies would come in everytime, without fail.

On another note, much as I would like the gate at 6/32 to be
installled ASAP, I think a green chain link gate is really ugly and
would spoil the aesthetics of our lovely neighbourhood. Maybe we
should delay slightly and collect/save till we have enough for a
regular gate.

Also today Serena saw 2 indons climbing over the railings at the first
corner (which is not fenced) at about 2pm+. I think we need to fence
up this portion as well - after all our fencing is only as good as the
weakest part.

And to all who celebrate Christmas, have a merry Christmas. To all
other neighbours, have a fabulous holiday season and happy new year to
all!!!

John

Dear John
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
TQ for writing. Its good to hear form resident.
Do you think by "delaying" those who have not pay will do so? Weeks before we started our project, we sent newsletter to infom everyone about the contribution. Now that the project has been completed like for a month, there are still so many who have not paid?  What do we do?? If I am not mistaken, the last 2 newsletter we "appeal" for payment but still they remain very unsupportive nieghbours.
I wonder if people realise how much behind the sceen work is done for the project, newsletter, monthly collection, etc. & yet they remain unsupportive. Its very sad. Its such a small community & yet we cant get everyone to support project that is good for them.
To everyone reading this mail, have a great year ahead.
With best wishes,
Felicia Tai

Dear John/Serena,

Tq for the feedback.

There's a particular house at your street which is the cause of many stray cats. These cats has been lingering the back lane behind yours & my house. Understand that the tenant who owns them is no longer renting and just left the cats. Worst still the cats are not neutered therefore they have been breeding. Will see what can be done. If you know anyone interested in adopting cats it would help too.

On the gate at Jalan 6/32, the priority is "iron grill" gate. In fact we just got 2 suppliers over the weekend to give a quotation. But as Felicia had said waiting for collection from those who didn't pay could be endless.

We have several feedbacks on that "unfenced portion" therefore will look into the matter.

Have a good new year.

Regards

Rizvi.

Hi Rizvi, John and Serena

FYI we have adopted 2 of these cats and they stayed with us for over 2 months. Then in the end I got my parents to bring them back to their home in Malacca because they started pooing in front of my neighbours house just way too often.
Anyway I feel sorry for these cats too but don't think i can adopt anymore :(

Rizvi- just wondering would it be possible for those who've paid to get the key to their gate entrance to the lake? do we have to duplicate this key ourselves or it comes with the amount we have paid? Thanks,

BR
Jafiz

Dear Jafiz,

Those who have paid for fencing ONLY can duplicate. This is also upon request only. Duplicate to be done by the street rep of your street (Lina) at cost which is to be paid by you. The fencing contribution doesn't come together with the duplicate key.

I would to emphasis that when you have a duplicate key, you are responsible to lock back the gate whenever you open the gate. Duplicate key holders are also not to make duplicates for others, Just last Mon, a household with a duplicate key at my street opened the staircase gate in the evening and didn't lock it back when I checked the gate at about 9pm. This is one of the reason why we are not freely giving duplicate keys to just anyone even if they have paid for fencing.

Regards

Rizvi

Thanks Rizvi-if that is the case will request for Lina to make 1 duplicate for us too when she has the time. I feel while it is good to have the place well fenced up & secure, the access to the park/lake is no longer convenient-well as saying goes one can't have everything (here we can but it is just not that easy anymore for the safety and security of all) . I agree with you that one has to be responsible -those who opens the gate must ensure that it is locked back.

Happy New Year to you and family and all of lakeside residents!

Aslmkum Jafiz, happy NY to you too & all. Its a mindset we need to change. I believe over time we'll get used to the situation. After all, this is our own safety and security.

Regards

Rizvi
