Hi All,

I just finished up my CF and discovered that some rules have changed since we started our CF.  There is a new Form 2 for MA state license (updated September of 09) which states that you are NOT allowed to provide speech-language services after completing your CF until you have received your State License.  There was no such language in the previous version of Form 2.  The new form also requires Form 2 to be submitted within 7 days of completing the CF period.  (This used to be 30 days)

The state licensing board states that they are holding all current CFs responsible for knowing about this change, and have proceeded with disciplinary actions in several cases.  Supervisors can loose their licences and CFs can be denied a state license.

I had originally sent in the wrong form, and then hand delivered the new form and waited for them to process it the same day to minimize lost work time.  My understanding is that they can only process the application the same day if everything other than Form 2 has been submitted earlier.

Please forward this information to any CFs you know.  I would hate for anyone to get in trouble due to ignorance about this change!  I don't think the state sent out any notices about this change.  At least I did not get one.

Hope all is well with everyone!

Anna
