CF supervisor DOES need to co-sign our reports

HI Ladies,

 

I finally got through to the MA licensing board, and they told me that the CF supervisor DOES need to co-sign our reports.  The CF supervisor could loose her license if she does not.

 

In addition, we are not allowed to call ourselves SLPs yet, not even with he CF at the end, since we are not yet licenced.  WE are supposed to sign as "Clinical Fellow in Speech Language Pathology", or Speech Language Pathology Clinical Fellow".  This seems contradictory to what is said  in the ASHA docs.  Doesn't ASHA say to sign as SLP-CF?

I just send the board and email, I write reports everyday, it would be impossible for my supervisor to sigh them, she only comes once a week (and those are the guidelines)  Is anyone clocking their hours?  Are they doing it a specific way or just writing it on a calendar?

hey guys!

i hope everyone's doing well!  annie, i do keep track of my hours, but just informally by writing it down.  i asked the girl who i'm replacing about that (just finished her cf)  she said she didn't really track her hours. 

i also have a question.  i know we need to send the form to the mass licensing board (with our supervisor's information) within 30 days after we begin our cf.  do we need to send anything into asha right away?? (other than the stuff from our records check). 

also, i sent in the things needed from our records check, but it's making me nervous because neither of the checks have gone through yet.  did it take long for anyone else??  i'm just nervous that they didn't get it or something, and i hope it's okay that i started my cf before that all went through???

so many questions....sorry for bombarding you all!  let me know if you have any insight, i'd really appreciate it.  i hope everyone's doing well, we should all get together!
