Group,
This announcement arrives just in time (perhaps too late for some - my
apologies!) to inform you that we'll be meeting tomorrow evening,
Tuesday, August 25, 7pm, at Janaki's home in North Boulder with Woody,
as he's in town for a couple of days.
We'll essentially be having a working dinner meeting to status where
we're at in a number of areas, discuss necessary actions to take over
the course of the next couple of months through the end of the year
(signatories, Farmer's Market presence, investment club, among others)
and other areas of interest, including the National Gathering from
9-11 September in Santa Fe.
The dinner will be an organically self-organized pot-luck - feel free
to call me
(303.330.2849) and let me know what dish you plan to bring
or to find out what we might be missing to bring.
Janaki's address/phone are:
1735 Quince Street
Boulder
303.938.8975
(Between Broadway and 19th; north of Iris; red mailbox post on north
side of street)
Again, please accept my apologies for not getting this out earlier.
Recognizing that the Boulder County Commissioners had planned to vote
on the proposal by 6 farmers to grow GMO Roundup Ready Sugar Beets on
this same evening, there may also be the possibility that this vote
will be postponed, i.e., the discussion tabled, until a later date.
If the County chooses to table this discussion until a later date,
please bring a dish to share and participate in your local Slow Money
Boulder group.
If, on the other hand, the County decides to go ahead with the vote
and the session is open to the public, we'll see you there in
support...and meet afterward or another time.
See you tomorrow night!
Rico
