----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Local Capital Summit is an opportunity to connect with existing
solutions for mobilizing resources for our businesses and community,
and building collaboration between for-profit, non-profit and local
governments. In recent events it's become clear that the old ways of
doing business are no longer sufficient for addressing our needs. But
we believe that inside of our communities we do have the capacities,
resources and creative problem-solving required to fulfill our
economic needs.

A New Kind of Format
================
Please join us for this one day event as we learn from other business
owners, hear about innovative strategies for addressing problems with
cash flow, accessing credit and capital, and leveraging resources
effectively. The Local Capital Summit is organized as a modified open
space format - where you as a participant will help design and deliver
the content of the summit. Instead of pre-determining each session,
we're opening up the planning to all of you. You can suggest sessions
to present on your own work or convene a panel of local leaders. You
can even convene a session about something you want to learn from
other participants. Then you can vote on the sessions you want to
attend so we can organize the schedule for the summit.
We are excited to have two very special guests for the Local Capital
Summit: Will Raap, passionate entrepreunuer and community leader from
Gardener's Supply and Woody Tasch, author of Slow Money and Founder of
the Slow Money Alliance. (read more about them and their presentations
