Everyone's Invited to this All Local Food Potluck at Anna Ranch on Sunday October 3 from 5-7:30pm hosted by Slow Food Hawaii. Come talk story about challenges and successes of eating local and celebrate those who've been doing it. Bring your favorite dish made with local ingredients along with the recipe to share and your own place setting. $5-$10 donation suggested to cover cost of renting the space. Restaurants featuring Local Food Specials created especially for Eat Local Week September 25 - October 3: Waimea - Village Burger, Daniel Thiebaut, Lilikoi Cafe, Solimenes, Merriman's. North Kohala - Kohala Coffee Mill, Sushi Rock, Kava Kafé, Luke’s Place, Lighthouse Deli, Pico’s Bistro, Snack Shack, Fig’s Mixed Plate, and Minnie’s. Participating markets include KTA, Foodland, Healthways, Nakahara & Takata Stores. And of course Parker School Farmers Market, Hawaiian Homestead Farmers Market and Hawi Farmers Market will feature locally grown foods.
