With growing interest in backyard chickens, bees, gardens and composting come many questions...how many chickens are you actually allowed to have? Are backyard bees legal? Can you sell your stuff at a farmers market? Proposed changes to the Alachua County Comprehensive Plan will profoundly impact urban agriculture and our local food system.

Get informed! Come out for a FREE public forum this Wednesday July 20th from 6-7:30 PM at the downtown public library, meeting room A 4th Floor. For more information including documents with proposed changes to the "Comp Plan" that will get you up to speed click here

Also if you are interested in volunteering at a school garden this Friday, the Kanapaha Middle School needs you! Just bring yourself, some water and sun protection. Meet us around 6pm at 5005 SW 75th St. Free seeds for volunteers!! See Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=148218225255396
