Hello Slow Foodies,
We hope everyone had a great summer and is ready for the start of the
school year and the fall season! We have been fortunate to have some
great new folks step up to take the reins of Slow Food Gainesville and
Slow Food UF this year - Sara Wynn and Anita Smith, respectively.
They will send out more info soon, introducing themselves and some fun
ideas they have for the future, but for now we are planning a picnic/
potluck at the Thomas Center on Sunday, September 23rd so we can
meet,mingle, and share ideas. Mark you calendars, and please join in
by bringing a dish to share, your friends and family, and maybe a
blanket to sit on. This will be a joint event for the Gainesville and
UF Slow Food groups. We'll meet on the front lawn (weather permitting)
at 5pm for an early dinner. If it looks like rain, we will send out
an update!
