Open Farm Day this Saturday!
Greetings from Cognito Farm,
Discover more about how we work with nature to raise and process eggs, poultry, pork, and beef. The first of this season’s free Open Farm Days is this Saturday, October 1st, from 1 until 5 PM including guided walking tours that start at 1:30 and 3:30 PM.
Open Farm Days are free, and there’s no need to RSVP; but if you want to purchase products while you’re here, please reply to this email and let us know what to reserve for you to pick up at the open farm day. There is a list of available items below. We’ll have your selections bagged and ready to go home with you. Unreserved items may be purchased at the farm as long as supplies last. Bring an empty cooler (no ice is best).
Please leave all pets at home. Well-supervised children are welcome to participate. Please wear sturdy walking shoes (flip flops, sandals and high heels are unsafe and uncomfortable). Sunscreen and a hat or visor are recommended.
Directions:
We’re just North of Starke one mile East of US-301. Follow the billboards on US-301 to the Fireworks Store and turn at that corner (185th, you can only turn East there). Travel one mile and you’ll see pastures and then a white mailbox on your left with the numbers 18806 on the post. (Click here for map) Drive through the gate and up the lane to the house. You will be guided to a parking place.
