One Saturday September 17th, Slow Food Grinnell will be holding a potluck as part of the national campaign to take back the value meal. This campaign aims to combat the perception that only the rich can afford to eat good food by cooking a meals for $5 or less.

Each person or group should bring a dish costing less than $5 per-person (i.e. one person should spend no more than $5 and three people no more than $15).  Please bring your ingredient list and cost estimate to share with the group.  You can count things you grow your self as free if you like.

The potluck will be held at the Davis residence (1214 Broad St, Grinnell).  Feel free to arrive starting at 6pm.  We'll plan to start eating around 6:30.  RSVPs are appreciated, but not required.

Also in September: For those of you who are not yet Slow Food Members, any donation makes you a member during the month of September.  You can join online at slowfoodusa.org.

Hope to see you at the potluck!

Thanks,
Brooks
