UG Tools
Slovak Scala Users' Group
Hi all,
in the last meet-up I've reminded a few things about the UG Tools. Here is a brief summary.

We are preparing UG web-site with aggregated content from these sources
Maybe it remains to mention why so many tools. Meet-up is suitable tool for organising the groups, but it has some limitations when it comes to discussions, e.g. you cannot directly reply by email, which is the way how many of us are usually communicate. Email is ubiquitous and thus we decided to use the Google Groups for that. Twitter is our news channel and the best way how to speed the word.
On other hand, we had an experience in the past, that we were not allowed to publish promoting codes on Twitter directly. But we were allied to do so via Google Groups and Meet-up.
PLEASE OUR REQUEST TO YOU AS MEMBERS IS: FOLLOW, RE-TWEET, COMMUNICATE ... SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT SLOVAK SCALA UG INITIATIVE BETWEEN YOUR COLLEAGUES. WE ARE PLANNING INTERESTING TALKS AND STUFF TO YOU IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
P.S. If anybody has a better idea which tools to use, please respond. We want to head about it.

the tools are OK I'd say. You mentioned last time the web site and that the Vienna group runs their site in play. I'd be interested in doing the same as a practical excerisce in play and we could at least try to stitch the app together in the group.
I was playing around with openshift recently although just simplistic stuff, but it seems to be working quite ok.
Is there any plan where and how to host it ?
