The weather this Saturday was a bit on the cool and overcast side but we had very light winds which for anyone who has normally done variants of this 300k will tell you is not normal so that was a pleasant surprise. Some of the riders experienced a bit of rain in the evening but in general it was quite a pleasant day with all the lovely green hills. All 21 riders who started at 6AM finished the ride with a few getting in before dark.
400K
We will doing a
300K/
400K on April 1st up in the north part of SLO county, this is a variant of the Mostly SLO 400k I ran last year but with a few new roads and hopefully lots of wild flowers given all the rain we have had.
600K
I have cleared through the priority registration list and moved a bunch of riders off the
waitlist and onto the
fully registered list which currently has 40 + myself. If your on the waitlist and you no longer want then please let me know and I will issue a refund less the PayPal fees, happy to put you on the secondary unpaid waitlist. If you did register and for some reason you name is not on either list (
register + waitlist) please let me know. I've put in a request to get more rooms at the Fairfield in Santa Maria at the group rate so hopefully will hear back on that this week.
If anyone would like to volunteer to work the 600K we could use additional help with the overnight control in Santa Maria as well as drivers to sweep portions of the course. We are not going to have a workers ride but I can offer that any volunteer will have first dibs when we run this ride again or any other ride that has a limit.
Thanks
