If you can't find a file on your computer or you accidently modified or deleted a file, you can restore it from a backup (if you're using Windows backup) or you can try to restore it from a previous version. Previous versions are copies of files and folders that Windows automatically saves as part of a restore point. Previous versions are sometimes referred to as shadow copies.

Double-click a previous version of the folder that contains the file or folder you want to restore. (For example, if a file was deleted today, choose a version of the folder from yesterday, which should contain the file.)

Important: Deleting photos and videos from the Google Photos app deletes the same items from your device. If these items are backed up, the same content will be deleted on all devices with backup turned on. Learn how to remove backed up photos & videos from Google Photos but not your device.

Make sure you get familiar with the source and destination locations that Windows File Recovery is referring to. Using the proper mode is also important; the Regular search mode can find recently deleted files, and Extensive search mode looks for files that were deleted a long time ago, or were corrupted.

With its robust free version, wide array of compatibility and plenty of options for upgrading, Stellar Data Recovery topped our list of the best data recovery software. This program is highly rated by users and allows you to recover up to 1 GB of data without spending a dime. Options for both home and business use are available.

A solid track record spanning nearly twenty years proves that EaseUS is a reliable name in the data recovery industry. It offers support for both Mac and PC users, and can even recover files on mobile devices. The free version can recover up to 2 GB of deleted data, and allows you to preview the files before restoration so that you can ensure you recover the right information.

One more file recovery service that can work for free is Disk Drill for Windows. It can recover files under 500 MB for free. The service also has a Recovery Vault that will protect your files in case of emergency. Once it is installed, it can easily search and restore your files to a disk drive.

Yes, files can be recovered after being deleted. The level of difficulty depends on how long ago the file was deleted, however, and you may need to use specialized tools if trying to recover data that has been corrupted.

hello everyone, I inadvertently deleted the recovery partition of OS X 10.11, And I want to know if is possible came back it. I talked with Apple Support and they said that is impossible, the only solution is restore without backup, a clean installation. This is true?

I thought that, too. But I've had recovery partitions on more than one drive at the same time before. Essentially, anytime you have more than one physical drive and you install OS X on it, that drive will get a Recovery partition installed.

Thank you! I installed an SSD in my MacBook Pro (moved the HDD to the optical drive slot and made the SSD my primary) and using SuperDuper! to clone got me a great copy - but deleted my recovery partition.

As the title states, I deleted a device on the sophos central when wiping a machine, the issue is I uninstalled Sophos on the machine, restarted it and it asked me for a recovery key, and of course I can't get the key due to deleting it on sophos central, is there anything I can do to recover the device on the sophos central

Many thanks,
Dawid

Have you checked under the Logs & Reports > Recover Tamper Protection passwords for the deleted device. Please follow the steps mentioned here and see if you are able to get the recovery key of the device.

When deleting test records (deleting the record with multiple individual repeats), somehow the wrong record was deleted and ACTUAL data was deleted. This was done in the S123 web app by the survey owner (me). I'm honestly still not sure how it happened, but it did.

ArcGIS Online has no recycling bin for items or deleted features. The focus is on delete prevention and creating backups. We can help a lot with advice on these, but you sound confident and it was an accident...

Your only option is to contact technical support and ask for a recovery. However they only do this in exceptional circumstances, and it's as a geojson file from the cache. So no attachments and it may be a snap of your layer any time in the past 30 days. Hard to assess if they'll entertain your request. I've only seen it for huge, critical mistakes. Not even sure if they want the public to know this is possible

Are there other ways to backup the data? Other than the obvious downloading it to a computer/cloud drive? It would be great to have this automated, but honestly I don't typically delete any data other than test data... this was just a REALLY bad mistake that I think happened because (1) I forgot to delete test data before making the survey live and (2) when I was deleting the test data, I deleted another test record and didn't refresh the web app before selecting the next one. So it looked like I was selecting a test record, but wasn't. I will swear up and down all sorts of things that I selected a test record (every entry was some version of "Test1" so it's super obvious). Definitely won't be deleting anything without hitting that refresh button ever again.

AS you got USB debugging to work I strongly advise to first try to connect the phone to a PC with an USB cable and recover the folders with a PC based tool.
Reason: installing apps on the FP2 might overwrite the deleted data and by that making recovery impossible.

Hi! I was deleting photos through the EOS Utiliy program the other day. I accidentally deleted a set of about 30ish photos before importing them. I've tried about 5 recovery programs, but my Rebel T3 never shows up in the area where you choose what device/driver to recover, when it's plugged into my pc by USB and switched on. I'm running Windows 10. My camera shows up under This Pc > Devices and drives, when I have it plugged in.

After all of that .... I hate to say it, but it sounds like those photos are lost. But, keep trying, though. As long as you do not use the card, then the data is still recoverable. But, if you have stored fresh data on the card, then recovery efforts just might be in vain.

If you have tried several different data recovery software, it's time to try a targeted software. AnyRecover offers six data recovery modes that you can recover from empty recycle bins, formatted disks, lost partitions, damaged hard drives, virus-attacked devices, external storage (eg SD cards, flash drives) Without any difficulties.

Is there a way to create a file in Linux that link to a specific iNode?Take this scenario: There is a file that is in course of writing (a log maybe) and the specific file is deleted but a link in the dir /proc is still pointing at it. In this case we need not a bare copy of it but an hard link to it so we can have the future modifications and the most last modification before the process close and the system delete it.

where PID is the pid of the process that have the deleted file still opened and FD is its file descriptor number. With -f tail open and hold the file to display further modification, with -c+1 start to "tail" from the first byte and with --pid=PID tail is informed to exit when the pid exit.

Recovery partition is a special partition on system hard drive and is used to restore the system to factory settings in the event of system issues. To protect recovery partition from being changed or deleted, recovery partition usually has no drive letter, and only a Help option is provided in Disk Management.

You can delete a recovery partition without affecting the running OS. For average users, it is better to keep the recovery partition as it is in the hard drive, as such a partition won't take up too much space

This is really urgent but an animation I created of around 900 frames has just been completely deleted. The frames are there and a few frames still have my drawings yet the others are completely blank. My file is saved as .pclx and I tried converting it into a ZIP file, yet inside the ZIP file, only the few frames that were still saved are inside the file data. Does this mean all my work is gone? I had this problem a while ago but managed to re-draw the missing frames, but now there are just too many for me to recreate. Please, is there any way I can get it back?

I copied the files onto my desktop and then accidentally clicked 'delete' on my keyboard. It deleted the selected videos. I then did ctrl+z which deleted the copied files that I placed on my desktop. Now I have no access to any of the files. Is there any way I can recover the files I deleted?

DS does not have an attic, but it does have a folder with sequences saved in case they are needed for crash recovery... if you can get to these quckly, and copy them out to a folder somewhere safe you should be able to use one of them.

Not infront of the machine right now,so from memory it's gong to be somewhere inside; programs/avid/DS8.4 & the folder is called something easly spotted like "crash recovery" or something along those lines...

Around 4/16, when I was trying to change my password, I accidentally deleted my account because the chat GPT interface did not have this function. However, I cannot find a way to recover my account. Can you please advise me on how to recover my account?

The situation is similar, I wanted to change the linked phone and deleted my account by mistake. Wrote in support waited a week as they promised but no answer. After reading the posts above, I understand that no one has an answer. You will have to live without this tool, since making a new phone number just to solve this problem is not an option.

Same issue here, I deleted the account by mistake and tried to reactivate it through the BOT. The BOT is not as bright as ChatGPT obviously, simply frustrated! I tried to create a new account but cannot with the same phone number, and I cannot unlink the phone number from the deleted account.
