It was nice to find this group.
In 2003, armed with a small list of key requirements we went hunting for a boat that was suitable for both Sonja and I. As you would expect we both had different ideas abut what we wanted, but we felt we could find what we were looking for. So long story short, we decided on a Roberts Spray 370C and ended up with a steel kit for one.
We started actual building sometime around April 2004 and we're still building. The current aim is to launch this December. We've been keeping a blog with photos of the progress, which you can find at http://glennandsonja.wordpress.com.
The boat is currently in our shed in Tullamarine, Melbourne Aus. It's already had one cruise of about 20 miles; off to the grit blasters to be cleaned and primed.
Cheers,
Glenn.
I took a look at the blog, she's coming along nicely, great looking
cabin sole and pilothouse, the one thing I would add to Velella if I
could. What does Yamoya mean?
I found the blog really interesting with all your how things were done
files, they are easy to understand and very clear. With your
permission I would like to run the occasional in the SSSA mag, a few
of our members are currently at the build/refit stage and all of us
are interested in the " how to's" of boat building.
If you are ever in Brisbane give us a shout maybe a few of us can do
lunch/diiner and talk all things boat.
regards,
Melinda Taylor
President SSSA.
A little story about the yacht's name, Yamoya, can be found here:

I'm more than happy for you to reprint anything from the blog for the SSSA mag, as long as it's contributed to me. Just drop me a courtesy email whenever you do.
We plan to be in Brisbane, sometime late July; I'm originally from there. I'll give you a yell when I know the dates and see what we can do.
Cheers,
Glenn.
