Hi

When I decided to build my 'Spray Replica' using only the drawings
given in his book, I also resolved to use his book as a 'Pilot' for a
circumnavigation along his original route.
I plan to start from as near as I can get to the original stake in
Fairhaven MA in April or May 2013 and then follow the route stopping
at all the places 'Spray ' did and also at other interesting stops
along the route.
It would be great to turn this into a Flotilla or Rally so I am
inviting any other interested Slocum enthuisiasts to join in. In this
modern world it will be difficult for many to spend three or four
years on such a project but why not join in for at least the legs that
are in your part of the world.
Owning a 'Spray type boat would not be required, anything with sails
will be welcome to join the party.
