Hi Meghan,

Thank you so much for contacting us. I am sure that Caitlin told you that we are functioning as volunteers these days, so I apologize for not responding earlier.

I am forwarding this email to the rest of the Board of CCAN, but I can say that we would love to go out to farmers markets with you and talk about the importance of local food. A connection with the Air Pollution Control District would be advantageous for everyone.

Please send me the dates that you would like to have our involvement, as well as some of the details for the Food Miles Campaign and how we can help make a greater impact!

Talk with you soon and have a wonderful day!
Lindsey

To whom it may concern;

My name is Meghan and I work for the Air Pollution Control District. I have worked with Caitlin Madden in the past on a partnership for our Food Miles Campaign. Last summer, we went around to multiple Farmers' Markets to pass out tote bags and spread the word about reducing the miles your food has to travel.

This summer, we are planning on doing a "Coastal Farmers' Market Tour" and I wanted to see if there was someone I could work with on this? Whether that be partnering at a booth at one of the Farmers' Markets (most are no cost) or having some of your materials available?

Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Hi Meghan,

So Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.  I am no longer with CCAN, as my grant term has ended.  I believe we have some volunteers that are taking it over and working on getting more grant funding.  Try this e-mail to see if anyone can help out:
centralcoa...@gmail.com, I'm sure they would be interested.

Thanks!

Morning Caitlin,

Hope this email finds you well, has been some time since we last talked! I was writing to see if Central Coast Ag Network would be interested in partnering again this summer at some local Farmers' Markets? We were thinking of doing a "coastal tour" and  possibly visiting Cambria, Baywood, Shell Beach and Avila. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks!

Hi Meghan,

Great about the booth in Avila! Fridays are usually good for me and we have other great volunteers that can help out with this as well. I am sending them this email so they can see what we have been talking about.

Another email to reach me at is lcolo...@gmail.com. I like to keep CCAN and other life separate but if it is urgent I generally check that email every day. Other CCAN emails are our president Louise Schiller ma...@lsastudio.com, our Executive Director Kim Pascuito senzap...@sbcglobal.net, our farm to school director Sami Schemerhorn samische...@gmail.com, and wonderful volunteer Lauren Cook miss.la...@gmail.com.

Keep me updated as things progress this summer and if you would like to meet in person to talk about the objectives and talking points for these farmers markets please let me know!

Have a wonderful day!

Hey Lindsey,

We got 1 market booked. July 16 at the Avila Farmers' Market.

If you are able to attend- we can begin set-up at 3 (although the market doesn't start until 4pm so I think if we got there at 3:30pm that would be plenty of time). We will be setting up at the base of the pier behind the lifeguard station- next to Breanna's Fitness hoops.
