So i've been using the d-link air bridge for a while and until recently i haven't had any issues with it, however recently ive found myself unable to connect to the wifi connection from the air bridge. After i imput the password it will fail to connect at all and after i try to connect again it asks for the password again. I can connect to any other wifi easily and have tried all the usual things to fix it but nothing has worked.

Hey there, @Sozuraioi, and thank you for bringing your D-link Air Bridge concerns to our attention. We know having that strong connection is important when setting up to explore VR through your PC, so we'd be happy to step in to continue working with you.

We appreciate you providing these details! With your extensive troubleshooting attempting to work around this error, we would like to see if prior steps provided by the community in the past can help us get things connected like before by visiting here. After giving some of their solutions a try, if any issues do persist, do let us know, and we'll continue digging into this deeper!

Hi @Sozuraioi. We understand the urgency you have to get this fixed, and we are here in full force to assist. The last thing we would like for you to check and inform us of is whether you had any issues with installing the Desktop App; if so, the Air Bridge may have the same problems. Can you check to confirm that your PC is compatible? See Requirements to Use Meta Quest Link. Once we hear back from you, we will proceed accordingly. Thank you for your time and understanding. Talk soon!

Thanks for the swift reply, @Sozuraioi! To be absolutely sure we've properly narrowed this down and exhausted all avenues, we'd like you to answer a few last questions for us. There is a chance this issue stems from the hardware itself, and we definitely want to get you on over to the right people if that is the case. When you have the time, please go through the following and get back to us:

Thank you for letting us know more about your Wi-Fi and its connection. This information allows us to know the best next steps. With the information that you have provided to us, we want to get you in contact with D-Link support. We want to make sure that you do not have any hardware issues. Here is the link to D-Link support; they will be able to look more into your hardware. We want to get to the bottom of this issue as soon as possible so that you can get back to playing all your favorite games. Please reach back out if you have any questions or concerns.

Most of us access the high-speed broadband connection through wireless routers at the leisure of our homes and offices. In this generation, getting through a day is virtually impossible without these wireless routers. This makes it one of the most important devices in our everyday lives.

Or you can simply enter in the address bar. In technical terms, we call these the router gateways to your frontier router. Although, for D-Link routers, the most common router gateway is 192.168.0.1 that leads you to the Dlink login page.

If the login screen does not appear for the IP address you entered, it may not be the right one for your model. In such cases, locate your model information on the sticker at the back of the router. You can get a list of the router IP addresses for various models and their respective login credentials below. Now that you have your username and user password, complete your Dlink wifi router login.

After you have successfully logged in to the D-Link admin panel, you can change any available setting for your router model. Using custom settings prevents any malicious intruder to enter your private domain.

D-Link routers offer users a hassle-free and smooth experience through a straightforward interface. To login to the admin panel, first, you must establish a physical connection to the router. This can be done with the help of ethernet cables. Follow these simple steps to complete the router installation process:

D-Link router settings allow users to change their local network settings based on their preferences. You can toggle between different interfaces to change the LAN, DHCP, DHCP Static IP configuration, and DHCP Static IP Table settings.

As a last resort, you can hit the reset button to go back to the original settings. The process may seem complicated but follow the steps, and, in a few minutes, you will have reset your device to its former settings.

The D-link router login is not complicated and can be done by following simple steps. For the first-time setup, we recommend changing the username and password to something difficult to access or guess.

I appear to have installed my wifi range extender successfully using WPS setup. I have steady green light on router link LED, also extender is listed as being connected in the routers list of connected devices, but when I try to connect any devices to the wifi extender it will not accept the password for my router.

I'm afraid if you are trying a wrong password. Please check the password from your Technicolor gateway and try the correct password. Hope, the below links can help you if you have a computer connected wireless to your Technicolor gateway.

I had already done a factory reset on my router and then reconnected all my devices to my router after first instructing them to "forget this router" before I posted my question, this can only confirm that the password is correct. The only time my password doesn't work is when I attempt to connect to my wifi extender.

WPS functionality requires action on both sides (the router and the connected unit). Have you tried a normal/manual connection instead (via the web-based configuration, see the user manual for the D-Link product in question)?

Yes it is. I know that this is the only way I can configure the DAP1320 but when u typed the dlinkap.local on the web address its not doing anything. It was working with the old dlink I used to have but when I switched to apple it stopped communicating. Amber light just keep on flashing. Thank your time helping me.

Just to rule out any misunderstanding, did you locate the DAP-1320's own wireless network name on your computer, then enter the password (apparently on a Wi-Fi configuration card with the DAP-1320), and finally try the address?

Ok, followed the instruction on page 6 and thank you for that, the green light start flashing for two minutes and then after that it went back to flashing amber light. ( i was hoping it will turn solid greenbut no luck) I guess once it turns solid green I can access the Dlinkap.local and put the default pw.

As I read the instructions (I do not own a DAP-1320), the amber light should be blinking when you wish to connect directly to the D-Link device for setup. The solid green light indicates that you have an established connection with a router (such as the AirPort Express), which would be later (after the completed setup). See page 5 in fine in the Quick Installation Guide for details. The manual below may also be of interest.

I give up. Thank you so much for your help. I tried one more thing to make sure this is still functional, I switched to an old router the Netgear N300 and it communicate with each other, my biggest problem is on my Imac it will say both of them ethernet and wifi connected but the browser will not open. Even my Iphone will say connected but will not connect. So, I believed that this dap 1320 is not compatible to apple express. Thanks again.

I may be completely wrong, but somehow I get the impression that you are attempting to connect to the wireless network provided by the AirPort Express, not directly to the DAP-1320. However, I assume that the first thing must be to look for a (default) network SSID for the DAP-1320 in the list of wireless networks on your computer (to make things easier, you could perhaps switch off all other wireless devices). Once found, try to enter the wireless password for the DAP-1320 on the Wi-Fi Configuration Card mentioned, and after that try to connect locally to using an appropriate web browser. If necessary, you could even try to use another computer for this local connection. By now a login page for the web-based configuration utility of the DAP-1320 ought to appear, at least according to page 11 of the User Manual (link above). The web-based utility should then allow you to configure the DAP-1320 for use with an AirPort Express or any other router.

Thank you for not giving up on me. But somehow, I did not give up and did the whole process of resetting to factory default and gave a try of going to my airport apps and put the default name and password of the dap and for somehow the dlinkap.local pop up on my computer screen and was able to configure it. If you did not send me those link to dap manual I would not have known how to reset it. Thanks again. You are a very helpful and patience person to work me. Thank you again. Its working! Amen!

The vulnerabilities were found in the DIR-865L model of D-Link routers, which is meant for home network use. The current trend towards working from home increases the likelihood of malicious attacks against home networks, which makes it even more imperative to keeping our networking devices updated.

Different combinations of these vulnerabilities can lead to significant risks. For example, malicious users can sniff network traffic to steal session cookies. With this information, they can access the administrative portal for file sharing, giving them the ability to upload arbitrary malicious files, download sensitive files, or delete essential files. They can also use the cookie to run arbitrary commands to conduct a denial of service attack.

The web interface for this router is controlled by the backend engine called cgibin.exe. Most requests for web pages are sent to this controller. If a request for scandir.sgi is made, a malicious actor can inject arbitrary code to be executed on the router with administrative privileges.
