We're quickly approaching the Park City Trek, so please take a few minutes to make sure you've taken care of a few important steps. All of the links below refer to pages on the
Trek Website.
- Security Deposits - This is the most pressing issue because, as last week's email stated, the deadline for submitting credit card info for each chalet is TODAY! Please make sure that someone in your chalet (see Chalet List) has provided CC info per the directions on the Check-in Page. We promise this will make for a much smoother arrival to Park City.
- Ski / Board Rentals - We've secured some attractive deals for rentals, so please see the Rentals Page for contact info and reserve your gear as soon as possible. YOU MUST RESERVE EARLY TO GET THE DISCOUNTS!
- Flight Details - Please enter your flight info on the Itineraries Spreadsheet and use the sheet to coordinate with Sloanies for early hotel accommodation and transfers to/from SLC airport.
- Airport Transfers - Please see the Transportation Page for airport transfer options. You must make reservations at least 48 in advance, so we recommend taking care of this soon. The SLC airport is really boring, so getting delayed there would be a bummer.
- Lessons - For those of you planning to take lessons, we recommend scheduling them as soon as possible. We have a discount code that should save you a bunch of $$$. The code is 1299913.
ALSO, please see below for offers and activities that might be of interest to you...
Offers
Quick-Start - For anyone arriving to Park City earlier in the week, you can ski for free on your day of arrival (flight would have to get in early in the day). Please click
HERE for details.
Backcountry.com is a great site for buying gear, and Johnny just sent us a code that will provide a range of discounts depending on what you're looking for. The code is
6NM-1-SQTQ6. Great for beginners who need to make some last-minute purchases!
Activities
Pro Skiing Events - Two events will be taking place during our stay. Park City will be hosting the
Sprint U.S. Grand Prix, and Deer Valley will be hosting
FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup. We watched some of the freestyle action last year and had a blast!
Ski Cottonwood! - While resorts in the Park City area are fantastic, some people might want to venture to the Cottonwood Canyons to check out Alta, Snowbird, Solitude or Brighton. A company called Canyon Hop will take you from Park City to these cottonwood destinations or to neighboring Snowbasin. Please see
Canyon Hop's site for details.
Thanks for your continued attention as the trek approaches. We can't wait to hit the slopes with all of you!!!
