One of the old slo.punk traditions used to be pointing out funny email
addresses at Poly. I came across the following email a while back which
attempts the same thing. Although I do not believe most of these, they
are still pretty funny...

Many colleges and business's tend to strip the last name down to 6
characters and add the first and middle initial to either the beginning
or end to make up an e-mail address.
For example, Mary L. Ferguson = mlfergus or fergusml. They are just
now beginning to realize the problems that may happen when you have
a large and diverse pool of people to choose from.

Much of the fun of that game was that each entry _was_
instantly verifyable... with finger or smtp expn or even grep.
