I was wondering if one of you could help me answer a question I've always
had. What are some of the major differences between hippies and punks?
Thanks in advance

the sets are neither disjoint nor identical... i'm sure we can each find
examples of non-hippie punks (cambler) and non-punk hippies (tamar).
<generalization warning>
hippies express freedom of individual action, respect of others
(in most situations) and respect of the earth.
punks express and encourage individual freedom and taking a
second look at some of the assumptions made by the normals...
the questions becomes "how" instead of "why not". example:
punknet, with continuous unmeasured connections from templeton.
like the popular culture definition of "punk", though, there seems
to be a relative lack of respect for the normals and for nature and
her resources.
</generalization>
and what do you see, mikey? present tense, or based on memories?
