Universal plans expansion in South India

Machinery and Equipment ltd has chalked out expansion plans for South
India. It includes setting up assembly line near Bangalore , opening
Universal Constore at Bangalore and opening Universal Exclusive Stores
in South India.
Universal has recently launched entered Construction Retail Business
to penetrate pan India and to be where the customer is . The Retail
program has been divided into three categories viz Universal Exclusive
Store , Universal Constore and Universal Signature Store. Universal
Exclusive Store These stores will hosts the entire Universal product
portfolio and will give offer Sales , After Sales Service and Spares .
Universal Signature Stores will host only the premium and high end
equipments of Universal like batching plants and reversible drum
mixers while “ Universal Constore” outlets will host all the leading
brands in construction equipment apart from Universal.
The company has launched five exclusive stores earlier this year at
Patna, Surat, Nagpur, Siligury and Coimbatore . Universal plans to
open a total of 41 exclusive stores by this financial year
end.Universal has two Constores one at Pune and other at Mumbai .
South India plans includes opening a Constores at Bangalore and other
important cities in South India including metros and tier two cities .
Universal is also looking to open exclusive stores in South India.
Chennai has already been finalised as one location . All the stores
will be on franchisee basis . Universal is in talks with its dealers
to open these stores .
The company is looking for a place near Bangalore to have its assembly
line for products such as concrete mixers, Reversible Drum Mixers, etc
. The products will be brought on CKD basis and assembled at
Bangalore.

retail business and will expand its retail format to South India . The

this area .The customer will be able to see all the products under one
