I've finally removed the last few Wiki Sci.lang.japan FAQ pages. Where possible they have been kept, but a few pages had to be just deleted unfortunately, including a number of pages on dictionaries, a page on Japanese on Microsoft Windows contributed by Paul Blay, a page on the Wabun Code, and some vocabulary lists such as a list of family terms.
Also I've been doing a lot of bug-fixing on the "convert" pages, most of the details are too minor to mention, like for example entering a year of "0" on the dates page produces a different message than it used to, on the katakana to English page it now tries harder to deal with bad inputs like using an ichi (一) kanji in place of a chouon mark, and on the English to Katakana page the spelling guesses are now slightly more accurate after overhauling the list of rules. There are also fewer cases of missing text. On the units pages, the links and titles of the pages are now all correct, so the links to and from the FAQ pages now work as they were supposed to. All the HTML is also checked using my HTML validator.
Also there is a new page
which makes fake kanji names. Somehow kanji names are popular so I've added this. I've been able to identify some improvements via the users' inputs already and an improved version will be coming soon.
Thanks.
