I dug the following page out of the Wiki sci.lang.japan FAQ database today:

This was previously marked as a deleted page but I've decided to restore it, partly because I need a page to explain the yureimoji for the kanji dictionary project I'm working on. The link from the /w or /html pages should also work (not putting that link directly here since stupid search engines will start crawling it if I do, it goes like this:

I've also restored some of the old Wiki links to the newsgroup.

While I was looking at the database, I tried to work out something which has been bothering me, but regrettably, I was not able to locate the author of the Chinese-Japanese false friends page:

I thought that this author had added the page directly to the Wiki but in the records the only author is listed as "Ben Bullock", so probably he emailed that page to me and I added it. Unfortunately I no longer have access to the old emails and I'm not even using the ISP where the email would have gone, so unless that person contacts me the knowledge is lost. I apologize about this.
