★ This is a link cleanup report for April 2025 for the "sci.lang.japan FAQ" web site at www.sljfaq.org.

☆ The site "burikko.net" referenced on the page about "Otaku" has disappeared so I've changed the link to archive.org, which has copies going back a fair way.

☆ An article referenced on the page about education has disappeared from asahi.com so again I've used the archive.org version.

☆ All of the nihongo.monash.edu links have been replaced by archive.org versions. This website has been down for four months and alternatives don't seem to exist for the "Mini-FAQ" etc. entries which were there.

Please let me know about any other problems with the web site. Thank you.

The website hasn't actually been "down"; it was moved behind a
firewall by Monash's Cybersecurity people. It's alive and well, but
you have to be on Monash's intranet or connected via their VPN to see
it. (I and others tried to convince them that it was not a security
risk, but we failed.)

I have installed the pages at https://www.edrdg.org/~jwb/
https://www.edrdg.org/~jwb/japanese.html etc. The Mini-FAQ collection
is there at: https://www.edrdg.org/~jwb/mondir/j_minifaq.html

Some of the links on the pages are broken, so let me know if you find any.

Hi Jim, hope you are doing well these days.

Thanks for letting me know about that. I did various searches such as site:edrdg.org "page name" for the pages since I assumed they were now on edrdg.org but I didn't find them. I will update the links from archive.org to your original site the next time this job rolls around.
