We are looking for Software Engineers in following field to work in Kandy  

Software Engineer PHP (1)

We are Looking for a LAMP Software Engineer to work on various web development projects. Candidate should be good at custom application programming, databases, and be able to tackle complex programming issues. The candidate will work directly with other developers and project managers and will often take on a more complete role developing a whole site including installation, themes, site configuration and module setup, and customization. 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• PHP5 , MySQL,
• JavaScript/Ajax/jQuery
• Solid understanding of php OOP with MVC pattern 
• SOAP, WSDL, XML, RSS Skills
• Familiar with Frameworks ( Zend, Symfony, Ruby on Rail, Code Ignite  )
• Knowledge of unit testing framework such as PHPUnit
• XHTML and CSS3/CSS2
• Photoshop/Flash
• Version control CVS

QUALIFICATION: 

• Degree in Computer Science or Information technology or.
• Proficiency with MVC frameworks, especially Zend Framework.
• Experience with PHP-based content management systems (Joomla, Drupal, etc.).
• Strict adherence to web 2.0 standards and cross-platform compatibility
• Solid understanding of browser capabilities and restrictions.
• Must have extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts php5
• Experience with the PHP Frameworks (Zend, Symfony, Ruby on Rail, Code Ignite ) is a plus
• Experience administering Linux & Apache SSH.  
• Ability to write clean, light code (and then test your clean, light code)
• Understanding of SEO and experience with design programs (eg. Illustrator and PhotoShop) is a plus
• Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) is a plus
• Experience with source control software CVS  is a plus

 

Software Engineer  - C++ (2) 

We are looking for a Software Engineer to lead  
the development of application software for the iPhone. You will be  
responsible for designing and implementing the user interface, and  
other application level functions for the iPhone. Responsibilities  
also include prototyping features, designing and implementing new  
functionality, along with general coding, debugging, maintenance and QA.

 
• 2+ years of commercial software development experience
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or  
relevant work experience)
• Strong object-oriented application design skills
• Substantial experience building commercial products in C/C++ and  
desire to learn how to develop mobile apps.
• Experience in web technologies (XML/SOAP/Web Client technologies)
• Understanding of HTTP, REST and TCP/IP Protocols
• Strong analytical and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work well in Agile, small-team environments
• Proven record of completing projects on time and to specification
 
 
The ideal candidate will also have experience with:
• iPhone and/or Mac application development
• Application development experience with J2ME, Windows Mobile,  
Blackberry, Palm and/or Android devices

Software Engineer  -Java (1) 

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead development and testing of a native phizuu app for Android mobile devices.

• Depending on level of interest, potentially develop phizuu apps for other mobile platforms, or assist in ongoing phizuu API development.

• Stay abreast of all the latest Android SDK developments, and keep improving the app(s) in response to customer feedback & usability testing.

• Work with designer & product lead to determine the look-and-feel and functionality of the app(s).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science 
• 2+ years experience

• Experience developing native Android or other mobile apps is strongly preferred.

• Expert in Java (Python and C/C++/Obj-C are a plus).

• Experiencing interacting with web service APIs

• Proficient in at least two of the operating systems that we support (Windows, Mac OS X, Linux).

• Passionate and obsessive about quality and correctness.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent work ethic and attention to detail. Very organized.

• Fast learner.

Nice-to-Have's

• One or more Android apps already developed.

• Startup experience.
