I am new to the tool and found the timer UI counter intuitive. Like a
few other users that posted here I immediately added a task and
clicked its checkbox waiting for the timer to start.

Instead it just sits there. I almost gave up on the tool until I found
out that the checkbox seems to just prevent you from starting a timer
and you need to uncheck it and click the task.

So what does the checkbox do other than confuse stupid people like me?
In a lot of apps there is no diff between clicking a checkbox and
clicking the text associated with the box.

Thanks for any help here.

The check box marks tasks as completed.

Hum... thats a good point. I guess it depends on how you use
Slimtimer.. I use it for long running tasks (i.e. one task is one
project) so I rarely mark tasks as "completed". Some people have many
tasks that last only take a few hours. Perhaps a little note should
popup when you first use the timer ("Click a tasks name to start/
stopthe timer, click the check box to mark tasks as completed").
Have any other suggestions?

Thanks for the reply Daniel, I think a couple mouseover tips would
help a lot there, as I use it if I come up with anything more
constructive I will let you know.
