Hey there. I've been using SlimTimer for a few weeks. I'm a freelance
web developer and find it to be a great tool for managing my time to
my various clients.
Question Simple:
So here is my question. When I create my Tasks I generally tag the
item with two tags. One for the client name and one for the internal
project code. So for example I have tasks tagged:
First Company
Company1, ABC
Company1, DEF
Second Company
Company2, GHI
Company2, JKL
How do I exclude tags when a Tasks with multiple tags?
Question Long:
For reporting, the company (this company anyway) just needs the
internal client codes totaled for each day. In other words they don't
need the time for each entry.
when I built the Report I select I select Pivot, Rows=Tags,
Columns=Time. Under Filters I select Tags then click on the tags I
want to show (they appear in Green). When I run the report I see the
totals by Tag for each day of my reporting period. so for example I
see a row for ABC. A row for DEF. This is great. but I also see a row
for Company1 which is one of the tags.
I've tried clicking on the 'Company1' tag to exclude it (shown in red/
pink). But this setting will also exclude all entries since all
entries contain the tag 'Company1'.
I guess one solution would be to no use 'Company1' as a tag. But as
I'm a contractor for multiple companies I wanted to use tags to flag
each Tasks for the respective companies.
Thoughts? I'm obviously missing something in the settings.
