Open Slmbox dynamically

Newbie question (both JS and Slmbox).

Context: am trying to create an image gallery (dynamically) and once an image is clicked open Slimbox.

Current state:

• Was able to add a listener to an image and extract the url.
  
• Was able to open Slimbox as a link from an image.

I want to somehow call some open function that will accept a url and will display it via Slimbox.

Searched stackoverflow and such and was not able to find a reference.

Any Help would be appreciated.
