autoHeight Property Not Working Properly

I'm trying to set the height of a slideshow to automatically adjust to the height of the content. However, when I set the autoHeight to true in place of the height value, the height is enormous. It doesn't adjust to the height of the content. What's going on with this?

Let me know if you would like to see the site in question and I will implement the autoHeight and link it.
