Hi folks,

Due to some internal issue we had to take uploads via API down sometime back. We are working hard to get back up soon. I'll keep updating this thread once the system is up again.

Thanks,

Jai Pandya,

Hi,

I am still experiencing the same issue today. It worked yesterday, but today it gives an error.

I am using http://apiexplorer.slideshare.net/ . I call upload_slideshow method and your API responses as following:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<SlideShareServiceError>

<Message ID="23">Service Currently Unavailable</Message>
</SlideShareServiceError>

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,

I would like to apologize for the outage in API uploads. Uploads via file POST method are working at the moment, while if your application relies on API URL uploads, then it is in a broken state. URL upload was used to launch a massive spam attack on SlideShare and the system wasn't prepared to handle the load coming from it. So, we had to disable this endpoint.

Our system is undergoing major changes at the moment and we are trying our level best to get back up again.
