I currently use Slickr just for a local slideshow, no online features
at all. I find that when I set it to a folder with many images (1000+)
it slowly leaks memory till I get virtual memory low messages. I am
using Win XP pro, SP2, 1 gig physical memory, 2 gigs virtual memory. I
love the pan and zoom effects but cant live with the virtual memory
usage, it causes LONG delays when exiting the screen saver. If there
is anything else I can do to help fix this problem let me know. Thanks

Not a "real" solution, but I found a free little utility that simply
restarts the computer every morning around 5am.

- I converted a laptop into a "digital photo frame" so this work-
around currently works for me... it's been running 24/7 for over 6
months now (wirelessly connected to around 500 photos on Flickr). I
gifted the photo frame and can't remember the name of the utility...
but if you need it I'll see what I can do.
