The Supreme Court has agreed to decide a case on ending "birthright citizenship," -- meaning, the policy which says that a child born here in the United States is automatically a citizen, regardless of the citizenship status of their parents.

I used to take as a given that the Constitution was super-clear on this. Actually, that was a simplistic interpretation, which I now understand has pretty strong counterargument. SCOTUS could easily decide otherwise.
