 Accident kills SLBC director Hassan

A Director of the  Sri Lanka Broadcasting Cooperation (SLBC) Nurania Hassan was killed  this morning and five others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a lorry at Rambawa,according to the Police.

The group of six media personnel were travelling to Jaffna when they met with the accident at around 4.30 am. Two of the media personnel are in critical condition while the other three have been admitted to the Anuradhapura Hospital.

Former SLBC Muslim Service Director, Nooraniya Hassan (Fawsul Hasan) passed away today after met with an accident in Anuradapura. Innalillahi Wa'inna Ilahi.... He is from Uyanwatte, Mawanella, an old boy of Uyanwatte Nooraniya and Zahira College, Mawanella. He is a graduate of University of Peradeniya.

It is a well known fact that, he played the key role in directing the SLBC Muslim service to a new direction by making significant changes in the service and to improved the quality by including programs with modern Islamic thoughts.

May Allah accept his deeds, forgive his sins and grant him Jannathul Firdows.
