Fish fries are one of my favorites and especially a mathi fry is the most commonest and the most favorite fish fry of any malayalee. A fish curry meal can never be complete without a fish fry.This fish is mostly commonly found in most of the locations across the globe and also available all time. But most people do not prefer sardines why because it has lots of bones and left with less flesh. Whatever it is sardines are every ones favorite and this recipe just hardly takes mins., to get it done. The fish is marinated with basic masala and then its either shallow fried or Tawa fried with vegetable oil or coconut oil depending upon your taste and preference.
Step 2: Mix the chili powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder,salt , and 1 tsp of coconut oil along with very less water . The marinade should be thick and not running do not add excess water.
Step 4: To a Tawa or a frying pan add oil for frying then once they are hot add the fish and cook flip it over when each side gets cooked.Add some curry leaves while frying for additional flavor.
