I love to use the CAPTCHA feature to help wake up my brain. The one downside is that doing any of them quickly makes me forget about my dreams which I like to record from time to time for writing purposes. If the app had an option that made me specify a number of words that I'd need to type in so that I could shut off my alarm that would probably solve both problems for me.

Of course that leaves the question: what if I had no interesting dreams, would I then have to write a bunch of nonsense to shut my phone up? One possible solution there would be to show TWO options when a Dream Diary CAPTCHA was enabled: use the dream diary or a back-up CAPTCHA which could be one of the original CAPTCHAs.

Hello Emily,

Thank you very much for this idea. We did implement the dream diary CAPTCHA and it will occur in the next release on Play Store.

Thanks a lot for this interesting idea.

I have updated to most recent version with dream journal captcha, however where is the text data stored? Is there really no way to access what you entered for dream journal? It just gets lost?

Hello Kyle it should get stored as a sleep graph comment if tracking was running before alarm.

Sorry for being brief. I'm on my way now.

Thank you for your message.

Best regards,
Petr

Hey Petr,

thank u for implementing this feature so super fast. Theres only one thing bothering me: i am using the diary more for the purpose of the diary itself and not for the purpose to wake up. So the minimum symbol count of 20 is a bit annoying if i cant remember any dreams but have to write something nevertheless. Would it be possible to set down the number of symbols for the easiest mode to zero or at least one or two?

Thx in advance and greetings
Theo

Actually I have a question, why do you use the dream diary CAPTCHA for this use-case. If you don't like to have a CAPTCHA you can always assign comments on rating screen?

Hey Petr,
For me those comments feel a bit limited. I just use them to tag my graphs, as it is adviced in the documentation. The dream diary captcha in my opinion has two advantages: It feels more like a real diary entry, not just like a list of keywords and the captcha also reminds me to remember my dreams instantly at my wake up. But sometimes i cant remember any piece of my dreams and then it is probably getting a bit annoying to press any key until the captcha lets me stop the alarm.

Best regards,
Theo

I just wanted to add two things:
1st of all i think it would be great if the diary entry would be stored separately from the other comments, so you could acces it via the diagrams in a large window where it is easier to read.
Another question i have is, if there is a possibility to stop the vibration of my pebble while filling out the captcha? It gets really annoying to have the vibration on my wrist while writing.

Best regards,
Theo
