This may be a built in feature I dont know about but here is my quandry. I like too listen to the lullaby or other things to fall asleep via headphones. through movement throughout the night I always end up removing the headphones from my head but they always stay plugged in t the phone. Is there a setting or the possiblity of forcing the morning alarm through the speaker?

My previous alarm software (g-alarm) had a setting for this that allowed forced speaker playback of the alarm. Thank you for your response.

Also i love the sound record feature, I notice that the alarm gets picked up by recorder. is the recorder picking up the noise form the alarm (externally) or is it picking up the system sounds (internal). I am wonderign if I listen to other music with my headphones will it get picked up by the sound recorde as well.

Once I get this setup figured out I look forward to experimenting with binaural beats and if there is a noticeable increase in my rem sleep.

One last thing, i cant stop praising your program, I have woken up 3 days in a row now more reefreshed and ready to face the day then I have in along time. Your program is truly making a positive impact on my life, if I keep making ti to work on time like this they may have to give me a promotion!!

Hello,

on most phones the alarm should be played from both the speakers as well as the headphones. Could you please double check that when you plug in the headphones the alarm does not play through the speakers? Also please be aware of the gradual volume increase and the fact that it may be heart from the headphones sooner than from the speakers.

We are in general looking into making this more configurable.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Petr

Yes, some attention to this would be appreciated. For some reason, on my old phone (HTC DROID incredible 2) the alarm would play only through headphones if they were plugged in and with my galaxy note 2 it always plays through both speaker and headphones. This is problematic as I often take naps in busy places and don't want to bother others with the alarm. Consequently I'm considering using different software for my primary alarm.

Thanks,
Kirin

Hello,

we did experiment with this. Unfortunately audio routing has been depricated on Android and we are currently not aware of any possibility how to selectively route the alarm either to the speaker or headphones. If anyone would find some solution we would greatly appreciate help here.

Exactly as you say different phone behave differently so on some phones alarm is player through the speakers and headphones simultaneously and on others only headphones are used. I myself have two phone each in different category.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Petr

Hello guys,

there is a beta release with experimental forced routing of alarm through only the headphones when there are attached. We would appreciate any feedback if you will be willing to test this. The beta APK is available at https://sites.google.com/site/sleepasandroid/beta-release.

Thank you very much.

Hello,

unfortunately Android doe snot allow apps audio routing. This was possible only in the early versions of Android. On most phones alarm is always played through the speakers as well as headphone if plugged. But we have had reports that some firmware do not support this. Unfortunately we cannot do much about this. Sorry

Thank you very much.
