70-80 percent of deep sleep, it's normal ?

Hi guy,

I try your application since 2 weeks (and i bought it ^^) but i have a problem.
Your app say that i have 70-80% of deep sleep.
The minimum i had is 56% and it's because i slept 8 hours.

The others nights, i sleep between 6-7 hour.
And the last week (since Monday), i try the biphasic sleep, so 6 hours the night and 20 minutes in the day.

3 guys of my friends have try the app and two have 30% of deep sleep (they sleep 6-8h) and one have 40-50% (he sleeps 8h).
We have 4 different smartphone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2.

So, is it normal to have 70-80% of deep sleep ??
Is it because my smartphone is set incorrectly (how i can check it ?) ??

Hello Ludovic, 

please refer to out doc https://sites.google.com/site/sleepasandroid/doc/tracking regarding the setting and the mattress. 70-80 is quite high I would try to put the phone closer to the body - under the pillow for example (airplane mode on!). Also it would be interesting to use an armband one night for reference.

Hi,
 
I put my phone in my pillow, and i have 84% of deep sleep and 4 cycles (6:13 of sleep).
But it's strange, your app wake up me always (it never failed) at the end of my cycle, so your app works fine.

I don't want buy a armband.
I think it's my matress who is too hard.

What can i do ?

I would try different settings for a reference. If you would measure significantly higher deep sleep % with a different setting and it may be the case that the current pillow setting is not right. Maybe trying put the phone to your legs? Or a pocket in your pajamas? This is just quick ideas.
