I just wanna to know how it work
so I create a alarm, set it to 1hr, let's say , set alarm on 07:00, and its 06:00 right now
then disabled smart period, check auto-start sleep tracking
so in this situation, Graphs should start record on 06:15, but its NOT !
could someone explain it to me ?? or should I click tracking manually?
but if so , this option doesn't make any sense ?

Hi,

If the smart wake-up is disabled, auto-start is useless so it should
not be triggered. Auto start is triggered only to enable usage of
smart wake-up without tracking all night. It is not useful for graphs,
because it would contain only part of night and so it cannot give you
any accurate statistics.

Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin
thanks for your reply

But I don't get it ?  what is the usage of Auto start ?
thus it only record 45 min of sleeping, but if I wanna more accurate stats, I should use tracking all night before sleep
otherwise just don't use
I have tested another situation:
assume times is 03:00 right now, with Auto-start needed 45 min to apply, Smart period set to 5 min
according above, if set alarm to 03:50, the Auto-start will NOT triggered
BUT, If set alarm to 03:51, the Auto-start will trigger at 03:01
Does this mean the minimum timespan to trigger Auto-start is 51min (45min from Auto-stat, 5 min from Smart period, plus addictional 1min to set alarm to 50min)
this is all I wanna ask, thx for your reply again , and sorry for my poor english, hope you can explain it to be clear for everyone

btw, could you (developer) can add function to close Vibration in Sleep as android ?
I believe someone like me do not use Vibration on alarm set, but it is really annoying to un-check Vibrate on every alarm I created
the only thing I can find is "Gradual and Vibration" under Alarm defaults tab, but there haven't any option to disable it..
so hope you can consider my idea

Hi,

There are 2 high level independent functions (among others) that our
application provides:
- Keeping detailed stats about your sleep.
- Doing a smart wake-up in light sleep.

For the first feature, you need to track all night, i.e. start
tracking when you go to bed. For the second, you do not need all
night, but you need tracking to start some time before the wake-up
period. If it does not, it won't have enough data to determine right
phase to wake you up. Auto-start is meant only for the second use
case. If you start tracking too late, it won't trigger as it won't
have enough data anyway (and so smart wake-up won't work).

I'll add to our TODO list to add a default configuration for alarm vibrations.

Cheers,
Martin
