noise recording picking up fan in background

Hello,

I just started using Sleep as Android to track my sleep so I'm not really sure if this is an issue. I sleep with a fan on and it seems to randomly be recording the fan as noises. The threshold is at 40% and when I test the sensors, the fan doesn't register. Could it simply be that noises the phone is picking up is then drowned out by the fan, or do I need to do some tinkering with the settings?

Hello Joey,

thank you for your feedback. Noise recording and actigraphyc record of your sleep through accelerometer are two independent things. Please consult this website for details https://sites.google.com/site/sleepasandroid/graphs. 

So the fan will not influence the sleep tracking. What it does is you will have more irrelevant more to go through. There is not much to do about it just try to increase the threshold even a bit further and put the phone closer to the source of interesting noise - to you mouth for example.
