to Sleep as Android
Think back to the old digital alarm clocks. There was a big snooze
button and the alarm could only be switched off by moving the little
alarm switch to off. This worked well for millions off people.

The creature comfort in this process is that you can snooze without
even opening your eyes. You would just reach across and know that that
big familiar button meant an instant extra little sleep.

I find that hard to have with SaaD because I need to prop myself up,
tilt my phone from being horizontal, and concentrate to make sure I
don't hit that dismiss button. Lovely morning drowseyness ruined.

I think that snooze should be made as simple as possible to give you
the full snooze experience by making the full screen a snooze button
that you don't need to tilt your phone to use. The screen should then
turn off instantly. Then to fully dimiss your alarm after you have
snoozed, you need you turn on you screen, go to the snooze
notification and dismiss it.

This incorporates the traditional mindless snooze and the very
deliberate dismiss. This feature change could be described as "Full
screen snooze and go to notifications to dismiss".

Hello! I agree with the above mentioned, and propose to make snooze/
off buttons ratio as 80%/20%. If I accidentally push the OFF button,
that means I HAVE to get up and activate QR, otherwise it will never
stop. So pushing the wrong button by chance can really ruin good mood
for this morning.

Thank you guys for your suggestions. I will reconsider what we can do about the button. I'm afraid even 80/20 would require to look on the phone when snoozing. Also there are in fact to camps of people, one of the parties whats snooze to be available as easily as possible (your side) and the other wants most importantly Sleep as Android to get them from the bed.

Thank you.

Best regards,

In a next release we will support a "back button" from captcha, so an
accidental dismiss should not be a problem any more!

Cheers,
Martin

While we're on the topic of snooze - I would love to see the option to completely disable it and only have one "CLOSE" button. Right now when we chose to have small snooze everything get's smaller. My proposal - have fullscreen alarm + close (or configured to snooze / snoze + close).

You may ask why the hell I would LOVE to get rid of snooze? Because it's pointless and couterproductive - if you set your mind to get up at given hour (or before, hence using Sleep as Android) then you want to get at that time and you can quite easily train yourself to get up from bed at alarm ringing. On the other hand using snooze makes you drowsy in the morning and prolongs everything without ANY gain. In addition - one may end up in a situation that stays in bed for even hour or more while being constantly interrupted by snooze - this doesn't serve any purpose nor is relaxing...

bottomline - sound alarm with a nice screen with a clock + close button -- pleeeease :)

Hello,

thank you for your suggestions. Just to fill in, it is actually possible to completely disable the snooze feature, please check the settings.

Thank you.
